Biography

Katie Gantenbein is an associate attorney at Bailey Peavy Bailey Cowan Heckaman. Her practice primarily involves mass tort litigation in the firm’s asbestos department. Katie also practices general civil litigation. Katie began her career with the firm as a law clerk prior to becoming a licensed attorney.

Katie graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Katie then worked as a paralegal for a civil litigation firm in Central Texas where she found her passion for helping those in need. Consequently, Katie moved to Houston to attend South Texas College of Law, where she participated in the family law mock trial program and family law clinic. Katie also received her mediation certificate from the Frank Evans Center for Conflict Resolution. When she isn’t practicing law, Katie enjoys volunteering in the Houston community.

Katie is a member of the Houston Trial Lawyers Association, Texas Trial Lawyers Association, American Bar Association, and the State Bar of Texas.
