During his final year of law school, the American Society of Legal Writers awarded Justin the Scribes Award for authoring the best moot court brief in the nation. His student briefs also earned “best brief” awards at the Moot Court National Championship, the ABA National Appellate Advocacy Competition, Washington D.C. Region, and the Spurgeon Bell Intramural Moot Court Competition, as well as “second best brief” awards at the Association of the Bar of the City of New York National Moot Court Competition, Southern Region, the Burton D. Wechsler National First Amendment Competition, and the Mack Kidd Administrative Law Competition. In addition, he was an oral advocate and brief writer for the winning team at the Judge John R. Brown National Admiralty Moot Court Competition, and for semifinalist and quarterfinalist teams at other national moot court competitions. Justin continues to be involved in South Texas College of Law’s nationally recognized advocacy program as an adjunct professor working each semester with students preparing to compete in moot court competitions. While in law school, Justin interned for Chief Justice Adele Hedges of the Fourteenth Court of Appeals of Texas, Justice Jane Bland of the First Court of Appeals of Texas, and Judge Mark Davidson of the Eleventh Civil Court of Harris County and the Asbestos MDL Court of Texas. Justin was also selected to the Order of the Barristers, the Order of the Lytae, and the Dean’s List, and was awarded multiple American Jurisprudence Awards.

Experience and Practice Areas

Justin is primarily involved in Bailey Perrin Bailey’s consumer rights practice and participates in dispositive motion briefing. He is also involved in Bailey Perrin Bailey’s government fraud and personal injury practices, in which he participates in dispositive motion briefing. Additionally, he is involved in Bailey Perrin Bailey’s appellate practice, having assisted in drafting briefing on the merits to the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit and the Delaware Supreme Court.
